Acis & Galatea by G.F. Handel

To celebrate our 10th Anniversary and with 2009 being the 250th Anniversary of Handel’s death, we finish the season with our biggest production to date: Handel’s pastoral opera Acis & Galatea. World-renowned tenor, Benjamin Butterfield sings the role of Acis, with acclaimed Canadian soprano, Tracy Smith Bessette as his Galatea. VoiceScapes members, Jerald Fast and Paul Grindlay round out the cast as Damon and Polyphemus. Soloists, orchestra and VoiceScapes Chamber Choir will be conducted by Claude Lapalme (Red Deer). |
